[Asia Economy Reporter Yoon Seul-gi] Lee Jae-myung, the Democratic Party presidential candidate and Governor of Gyeonggi Province, emphasized on the 24th after his first meeting with former leader Lee Nak-yeon, "The real battle starts now," adding, "Our only weapon is to unite firmly as one."

Lee posted on his Facebook on the same day under the title "Thank you, Leader Lee Nak-yeon," saying, "I met former leader Lee Nak-yeon today and listened carefully to his valuable opinions."

He stated, "Leader Lee Nak-yeon said he would gather all his strength to work together for the Democratic Party's victory and the reestablishment of the government," adding, "He encouraged us generously, emphasizing the need to demonstrate the spirit of one team with one heart. I also agreed with his suggestion to go beyond 'One Team' to become a 'Dream Team.'"

Regarding the meeting with the former leader, Lee said, "It was an occasion to deeply reflect once again on the importance and weight of continuing the Kim Dae-jung, Roh Moo-hyun, and Moon Jae-in administrations and winning the general election," and added, "I will fulfill the responsibilities entrusted to me before history and the people."

Lee also said, "Now, the Dream Team Democratic Party is entirely my responsibility," and added, "I understand that there are still some whose hearts have not fully opened. I fully understand those feelings. If possible, I want to meet with them and share our hearts. We will go together, filling in the shortcomings and correcting what needs to be fixed."
