Gwangju Urban Railway Corporation Selects Engineer Park Bong-jin as 'Top Conductor'

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yoon Jamin] Gwangju Metropolitan Rapid Transit Corporation (President Yoon Jinbo) announced on the 24th that it has selected Engineer Park Bongjin as this year's 'Top Engineer,' who demonstrated the best driving skills in passenger safety and friendly service.

Engineer Park joined as the 5th public recruitment in 2016 and has recorded 110,000 km without accidents as a model engineer. He showed outstanding capabilities in this Top Engineer selection competition and received an award from the president.

Engineer Park said, "I have tried to treat each citizen as my own family and serve them safely," adding, "I want to become an even better engineer who can comfortably transport the hearts of citizens in the future."

The runner-up engineer was Engineer Jeong Jinseon, who has recorded 120,000 km without accidents.

The corporation holds the Top Engineer selection competition every year to provide safe and convenient operation services and to improve engineers' driving skills.

Only those who demonstrate broad knowledge and experience in various fields such as theoretical evaluation, fault handling evaluation, and driving skill evaluation can become the Top Engineer.
