According to the quarantine authorities and local governments including Seoul City, from midnight to 6 PM nationwide, a total of 957 new confirmed COVID-19 cases were reported. This is 174 fewer than the 1,131 cases recorded the previous day, but 35 more than the 922 cases reported a week ago on the 17th.
By region, the metropolitan area accounted for 755 cases, and non-metropolitan areas accounted for 202 cases. By city and province: ▲Seoul 417 ▲Gyeonggi 254 ▲Incheon 84 ▲Chungbuk 37 ▲Daegu 25 ▲Busan and Chungnam 24 each ▲Gangwon 19 ▲Gyeongbuk, Gyeongnam, and Jeonbuk 16 each ▲Jeju 11 ▲Jeonnam 5 ▲Daejeon 4 ▲Ulsan 3 ▲Gwangju 2.
