Police Arrest Man in His 20s for Attempted Sexual Assault of Female Student in Apartment Underground Parking Lot

[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Byung-don] A man in his 20s who attempted to sexually assault a teenage female student in an apartment underground parking lot and assaulted a woman who witnessed the incident has been arrested by the police.

According to the police on the 24th, the Gwanak Police Station in Seoul is investigating Mr. A (22) on charges of attempted rape and injury.

Mr. A is accused of attempting to sexually assault Ms. B in the underground parking lot of an apartment in Gwanak-gu, Seoul, around 10:30 p.m. the previous day but failed. He is also accused of assaulting a woman in her 40s who witnessed the incident and shouted for help before fleeing the scene.

Mr. A was arrested at the scene, and the victims were taken to the hospital with injuries to their faces and heads, but their lives are not in danger.

The police are investigating the exact circumstances of the crime.
