Discussion on the 4th Industrial Revolution, Talent Development, and Measures to Bridge Talent Gaps
[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] The Ministry of Education will hold a public forum on "Policy Directions for Talent Development for Future Generations" on the 25th in collaboration with social research institutions such as the Korea Research Institute for Vocational Education and Training.
This forum aims to explore new talent policy directions to lead the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution and respond to social changes such as industrial restructuring and polarization.
Ha Yeonseop, Vice President of Yonsei University International Campus, who leads research on education policy and human resource development, will present measures to strengthen inter-ministerial cooperation and improve support systems related to talent development policies.
Kim Heesam, Professor of Basic Education at Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology, will analyze the implications of talent policies for resolving inequality and gaps and propose policies that can support fair competency development.
Afterwards, experts from academia and research fields related to the sector will share various opinions on necessary policies for talent development and inclusive talent cultivation. Participants include Kim Jinyoung, Professor of Economics at Konkuk University; Kim Wang, Head of the Human Resource Development Division at the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Baek Byungbu, Director of Education Research at Gyeonggi-do Education Research Institute; and Ryu Girak, Senior Researcher at the Korea Research Institute for Vocational Education and Training.
The forum will be broadcast live online from 2 p.m. on the 25th. Anyone can express their opinions through the Ministry of Education's YouTube channel and the Korea Research Institute for Vocational Education and Training's Facebook page.
