This measure was taken at the request of the U.S. political circles, and Lee’s campaign views it as a great opportunity to introduce the candidate to overseas Koreans.

The addition of English subtitles was made following requests from U.S. political circles and overseas Koreans. Former Minister Park, who is currently visiting the U.S. as a senior advisor at CSIS (Center for Strategic and International Studies), said, “We received requests from U.S. political circles and Korean Americans who watched ‘Seonmyeongmyeongdap,’ including former U.S. Ambassador to Korea Kathleen Stephens, asking for an English-subtitled version, so we added English subtitles.”
In fact, former Ambassador Stephens left a comment saying “Great interview” after watching Seonmyeongmyeongdap. Sunny Youngsun Park, Vice Mayor of Buena Park, California, said, “Until now, I thought Governor Lee Jae-myung was a rough politician focused on issues through the media, but I realized he has a deep political philosophy,” adding, “I thought he is someone who can endure political machinations by critics and complete the race in the rough presidential election.”
Meanwhile, the English translation was handled by the startup ‘Voiceloo.’ By clicking the ‘subtitles’ icon at the bottom of each video in the ‘Seonmyeongmyeongdap’ series on Park Young-sun TV’s YouTube channel, viewers can automatically switch to English subtitles.
