Lotte ON to Host 'Squid Game' Live Broadcast at Lotte Department Store Dongtan Branch on the 25th

[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] Lotte ON announced on the 24th that it will hold a live broadcast themed around 'Squid Game' at Lotte Department Store Dongtan Branch at 11 a.m. on the 25th.

During the live broadcast, show hosts will visit Lotte Department Store Dongtan Branch in person to offer products from stores such as Adidas, Converse, Black Yak Kids, and Unit at up to 20% discount. Customers who make purchases will also have a chance to win prizes through a raffle. The prizes will be decided by a game played between the show host and the store manager; if the store manager loses, the prize will be a representative product from each store, and if the show host loses, the prize will be given as L.Points.

Lotte ON planned this live broadcast inspired by the positive response to the 'On Quiz Show,' a live quiz show held twice on the 18th and 21st during the Lotte ON World event starting last week. The On Quiz Show recorded a cumulative 300,000 views, the highest ever. The live broadcast on the 18th achieved sales of 300 million KRW during the broadcast, and on the 21st, over 10,000 comments were posted, showing active customer participation in the On Quiz Show.

To encourage more customer participation, Lotte ON is conducting a live broadcast themed on the currently most popular Netflix drama 'Squid Game.' The Lotte ON show host will wear costumes worn by characters from 'Squid Game' and engage in various games featured in the show, such as ttakji (folded paper tile game) and guessing odd or even marbles, with managers from Lotte Department Store Dongtan Branch. If the managers lose the games, popular brand products such as 'Adidas Originals Sneakers,' 'Converse Sneakers,' and 'Unit 100% Cashmere Scarves' will be offered as prizes. If the show host loses, L.Points will be given as prizes, which will be raffled among customers who purchase products during the broadcast.

Representative products from each store will be offered at discounted prices, and the 'Top Buyer' who purchases the most will be awarded 50,000 L.Points. Featured products include 'Unit 100% Cashmere Crew Neck Knitwear, Cardigans, and Scarves,' 'Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Classic Black,' and 'Black Yak Kids Lightweight Down Jackets.'
