[Asia Economy Reporter Kim So-young] Lee Jun-seok, leader of the People Power Party, advised that the campaign must be thoroughly reexamined following the controversy over a photo of former Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol, a presidential candidate within the party, giving an apple to his pet dog posted on social media (SNS).
On the 22nd, Lee appeared on CBS Radio's 'Hanpanseungbu' and said, "The campaign is exposing significant vulnerabilities in public relations. Looking at Yoon's SNS, I am worried. It seems like a completely different person writes each message," expressing his concerns.
Earlier, on the 21st, former Prosecutor General Yoon expressed regret over his 'Jeon Du-hwan remarks,' but that same night, a photo of giving an apple to his pet dog was posted on 'Toristagram,' the Instagram account of Yoon's dog, sparking controversy.

Regarding this, Lee said, "I woke up to numerous message alerts in the morning," and added, "In such cases, I instinctively felt 'something is wrong.'
He continued, "From my experience using SNS, if I were to compare it to food, it’s like fugu (pufferfish). A certified person must prepare fugu, but if anyone just holds it and says it’s delicious fish, it can be fatal," he explained.
On the same day, during the second TV head-to-head debate of the People Power Party presidential primary, former Prosecutor General Yoon acknowledged, "I take responsibility for not managing the timing of the post when the public could think this way. I apologize. (A campaign staff member) told me they would post the apple story, and since I approved it, I accept all faults and responsibilities related to this."
