[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] Sinan-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Park Woo-ryang) signed a win-win cooperation agreement on the 21st to promote the consumption of high-quality ‘Sinan-san soybeans’ produced in the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve area, with the participation of Malgeun Food Co., Ltd., Aphae Nonghyup, Sinan Nonghyup, Buk Sinan Nonghyup (Chairman Yang Young-mo), and Mokpo Sinan-gun Nonghyup Cooperative Corporation.

According to the county on the 23rd, through this agreement, the participating organizations will actively cooperate to secure stable sales channels for Sinan-san soybeans by establishing a win-win cooperation system to expand the development, distribution, and sales of various processed soybean products, thereby increasing farmers’ income.

Sinan-gun plans to produce high-quality soybeans through contract cultivation with farmers, support for agricultural materials, and cultivation technology guidance. Local agricultural cooperatives will ensure stable raw material supply by purchasing soybeans according to grade, and processing companies will focus on developing and revitalizing the distribution of fresh food products using Sinan-san soybeans as the main raw material. Through this division of labor, they aim to strengthen mutual competitiveness.

Governor Park Woo-ryang said, “Starting with these soybeans, this will provide an opportunity to raise the brand awareness of excellent agricultural and marine products produced in Sinan-gun, and we expect continuous improvement in the sales of agricultural and marine products.” He added, “We will do our best to increase the income of farmers and fishermen and expand sales channels.”
