Promotion and Special Sale Event for Over 20 Agricultural Specialty Products Including Rice Oats and Traditional Fermented Sauces
[Gangjin=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-su] Gangjin-gun, Jeollanam-do, is participating in the '2021 International Agricultural Expo' for 11 days from the 21st to the 31st at the Jeonnam Agricultural Research and Extension Services area to promote the excellence of Gangjin's clean regional agricultural specialties.
According to the county on the 22nd, the integrated booth showcases more than 20 kinds of agricultural specialties produced in the clean area of Gangjin, including rice oats, traditional sauces, paprika, rice, and mushrooms to visitors. In the sales area, three companies, including Dodumam Agricultural Corporation with sword bean tea, are actively conducting promotional activities.
Also, at the return-to-farming startup promotion hall, Gangjin-gun's return-to-farming and return-to-village support projects are introduced and promoted, along with activities to attract urban residents. Products developed by return-to-farming startup farms are exhibited and sold. On the main road, a Namdo Garden photo zone is installed, featuring Gangjin's representative symbols such as celadon, Gangjin Bay reeds, and Gau-do, an island you want to visit, providing sights and entertainment.
To disperse visitors, on the 26th, designated as Gangjin-gun Visit Day, various events such as promotional events for Gangjin agricultural specialties and special sales events will be held with the participation of agricultural organizations in the county.
This International Agricultural Expo is held under the theme "Agriculture Changes the World. Smart Agriculture Dreaming of the Future," consisting of the agricultural food hall, healing garden, and smart agriculture hall, presenting advanced agricultural technologies and future agricultural models domestically and internationally.
The expo, held amid the COVID-19 situation, issues QR code entry passes to all visitors for safe viewing, and visitors can receive discounted admission tickets by making advance reservations on the expo website.
Kim Chun-gi, director of the Gangjin Agricultural Technology Center, said, "We will actively promote and market various excellent agricultural specialties of Gangjin at this expo," adding, "Although it is a busy season for farming, I hope our farmers take the opportunity to visit the expo whenever possible to soothe their minds and bodies tired from COVID-19 and directly see and experience the changing advanced future agriculture."
