Lecture Combining Theory and Practical Cases Receives Positive Response from Attendees
[Asia Economy Reporter Kwangho Lee] Hana Bank announced on the 22nd that it held the '2021 Export-Import Academy' via real-time YouTube live streaming for export-import company employees who pre-registered through its branches.
Hana Bank's Export-Import Academy is a field-oriented training program that has been providing various export-import business know-how to company practitioners and executives by Hana Bank experts since 2007. This time, due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, the academy was held for the first time in a non-face-to-face format via YouTube Live.
The 2021 Export-Import Academy was conducted as a real-time live broadcast, not a recorded session, targeting 320 practitioners from about 150 pre-registered companies. During the lectures, questions submitted in advance were organized and answered in real time along with the lecture content to increase engagement. Notably, many KOTRA member companies that do not currently transact with Hana Bank also participated, receiving high praise.
The main lecture topics included ▲ Export-import payment methods and letter of credit practices ▲ Foreign exchange transactions related to export-import ▲ Foreign exchange violation cases ▲ Non-letter of credit payment methods and export receivables (OA) purchase ▲ Risk management and understanding of the foreign exchange (FX) market. The curriculum was designed not only with essential theories related to export-import operations but also focused on various practical cases. Additionally, a quiz event was held via chat during the lectures to add interactive fun.
Starbucks gifticons were awarded to 100 quiz event winners, and 10 outstanding participants were selected to receive Galaxy Buds II Bluetooth earphones as gifts.
A Hana Bank Foreign Exchange Business Group official said, "The Export-Import Academy is composed of high-quality lectures throughout the entire process, greatly helping to enhance corporate competitiveness and the work capabilities of practitioners." He added, "In line with the untact era, we will continue to strengthen education and services through this non-face-to-face academy to provide practical assistance to export-import companies."
