"Post-Corona SMEs Must Prepare Countermeasures Predicting the Era Transition"

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Small and Medium Business Corporation (Chairman Kim Hak-do, hereinafter referred to as SBC) announced on the 22nd that it has published the third issue of the policy newsletter 'KOSME PolicyⓔKnowledge (Easy)'. This issue deals with 'Survival Strategies for Small and Medium Ventures in the Post-Corona Era Beyond the Perfect Storm.'

SBC suggested that small and medium ventures need to prepare measures to manage risk factors such as accumulated corporate debt caused by the COVID-19 pandemic in the short term and to anticipate the direction of the era's transition to prepare appropriate countermeasures in the long term.

In particular, for companies affected by COVID-19, it proposed a strategy to focus on core technologies while attempting to enter promising technology fields, and for export companies, it suggested the necessity of shifting export strategies such as online sales channels and non-face-to-face marketing.

As policy implications, it cited the smartization and digital transformation of small and medium ventures, proactive structural improvement, strengthening ESG response capabilities, and customized support for market innovation.

KOSME PolicyⓔKnowledge covers four topics: ▲Latest Policy Issues (Issue) ▲SME Support Project Guide (Inside) ▲Timely Research Reports (Research) ▲Regional Economic Trends (Region). Past newsletters and subscription applications can be found on the SBC website.
