[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Juhyung] The ex-girlfriend A, who accused actor Kim Seonho of coercing her to have an abortion under the pretext of marriage, has announced that she will take legal action against defamation and personal threats directed at her. Previously, controversy arose as posts speculating on A's personal information flooded online.

On the 20th, Lee Donghoon and Jung Daeun, lawyers from the law firm Choi Seon, legal representatives of A, issued an official statement saying, "Due to indiscriminate disclosure of personal information, A is suffering from severe mental distress to the extent that daily life is difficult," and "A's personal information is being indiscriminately disclosed on some media outlets and SNS communities."

They added, "We request restraint from excessive speculation and defamation to prevent further harm to A, who is a private citizen, and also ask that requests for interviews and coverage about A be refrained from," emphasizing, "Our law firm will do its best to protect A."

A previously drew attention on the 17th by revealing that she was coerced to have an abortion by the so-called 'K actor.' The day after the post was made, on the 18th, YouTuber Lee Jinho, a former entertainment reporter, claimed that there was a clue that the 'K actor' was actor Kim Seonho, which intensified the controversy.

Lee also predicted that the revelation of A's identity would cause significant damage to Kim Seonho's image. He said, "If the identity of the ex-partner is revealed, considerable repercussions are expected," and "If it becomes known who A is, Kim Seonho's image will inevitably be affected."

Given the situation, netizens' interest in A surged rapidly. In some online communities, rumors spread that A was a former broadcaster, and real-name social network service (SNS) accounts and personal shopping mall addresses were shared. None of these pieces of information have been verified.

Regarding this, A wrote on an online community on the 20th, "Both of us sincerely loved each other, but it pains me to see everything collapse in an instant due to some of my extreme posts," and emphasized, "I hope that no more false information is spread and that stories about me or him are not further reproduced or exaggerated."

Meanwhile, Kim Seonho issued an official statement through his agency on the same day, bowing his head and saying, "I hurt her due to my negligence and thoughtless actions. I want to offer a sincere apology."

He added, "I wanted to meet her directly to apologize first, but I am waiting for that time," and "For now, I want to sincerely apologize even through this statement."

Broadcast programs and films scheduled to feature Kim Seonho announced his withdrawal. On the same day, KBS 2TV variety show '1 Night 2 Days,' the films 'Dog Days,' and '2 O'Clock Date' decided to remove and replace the actor.
