Hapcheon-gun Provides Job Training for CCTV Monitoring Personnel

Prevention of Various Crimes and Disasters, Prompt Response in Emergencies

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] On the 21st, Hapcheon-gun, Gyeongnam Province, conducted capacity building and security training with 16 CCTV monitoring personnel attending at the Gun Integrated Control Center.

This training focused on situation handling procedures, CCTV monitoring system operation, and job knowledge education during monitoring activities to protect the safety and property of residents through prior prevention of various crimes and disasters as well as prompt response in emergencies.

The training also concentrated on security education for personal information protection, which has recently become a social issue due to personal privacy infringements.

Opened in July 2016, the Hapcheon-gun Integrated Control Center covers an area of 463㎡ and is equipped with a control room, equipment room, and disaster comprehensive situation room. Sixteen monitoring personnel operate 1,013 CCTVs 24 hours a day to prevent various incidents and accidents such as crimes, disasters, and rescues, as well as expanding operational areas including illegal garbage dumping control, public facility management, and child protection.

Additionally, they are thoroughly strengthening security to prevent leakage of personal video information through regular changes of CCTV access passwords, an authentication management system, and an internal control system that restricts arbitrary manipulation of monitors.
