[Jeongeup=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Jaegil] Jeongeup City, Jeollabuk-do (Mayor Yoo Jin-seop) announced on the 21st that Doson Food Co., Ltd. and Durutek Co., Ltd. have been selected as promising small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Jeollabuk-do this year.
The promising SME support project is a policy designed to revitalize the local economy by supporting SMEs with high growth potential and excellent technology, management, and sales capabilities.
Since 1999, Jeollabuk-do has conducted annual competitions and has selected 486 SMEs with outstanding technological capabilities to date.
Doson Food Co., Ltd., established in 2011 in Chilbo-myeon, Jeongeup City, is an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) producing porridge and beverage products using local agricultural products as the main raw materials.
The company has steadily grown every year through the development of various products, and in 2019, it was recognized for its efforts in creating jobs for vulnerable groups and received the 'Korea Social Enterprise Award.'
Durutek Co., Ltd., which settled in the Taein Industrial Complex in 2017, is a specialized manufacturer of fluorine powder coating for metal surfaces. It has been recognized for its technological capabilities, including environmental certification in the metal surface treatment field, quality management system certification (ISO), and confirmation as an innovative SME (Inno-Biz).
Companies selected as promising SMEs receive certificates and certification plaques, and the loan limit for Jeollabuk-do's management stabilization funds is increased up to 500 million KRW, with interest support (3.0%) provided.
Additionally, bonus points are awarded when participating in various corporate support projects promoted by Jeollabuk-do, such as group exhibitions.
Meanwhile, the city is making efforts to resolve difficulties faced by local companies and create a business-friendly environment through business meetings and on-site visits.
In particular, as a result of actively pursuing various new policies, winning various competitions, and addressing corporate grievances and regulatory improvements, Jeongeup has achieved the distinction of being selected as a business-friendly city for five consecutive years.
Mayor Yoo Jin-seop said, "Although the situation is difficult due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, we will strive to resolve corporate difficulties and create a business-friendly environment," adding, "We will continue to do our best to support corporate management so that local companies can grow into excellent enterprises."
