Where to Watch Nuriho Launch Live? "Yeosu and Goheung Areas... Contactless Viewing Recommended"

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bong-su] How can you watch the leap of the Korean space launch vehicle 'Nuriho' launching on the afternoon of the 21st? The government and the Korea Aerospace Research Institute (KARI) recommend 'non-face-to-face' viewing. This is because direct viewing is not allowed due to the COVID-19 situation. Instead, you should watch the official YouTube channel or live broadcasts from various broadcasters.

The Ministry of Science and ICT will live broadcast the first launch of the Korean space launch vehicle Nuriho on its YouTube channel that afternoon. Together with KARI, they will stream the live broadcast from the launch site through Naver TV and YouTube channels. It can be viewed on the Ministry of Science and ICT YouTube, KARI YouTube, Naver TV, and others.

Also, if you watch with your family and want detailed information, there is a live broadcast event at the National Science Museum. The National Science Museum will hold a live broadcast event titled "Fly High! Nuri's Dream!" starting one hour before the scheduled launch time, praying for the successful launch of the Korean launch vehicle made with our technology and the leap to becoming the 7th space power with independent space transportation capability. It will be conducted through the museum's YouTube channel 'Science Museum TV.' Using exhibits such as Singijeon, science technology rockets, Naroho, and the real engine of the second stage of Nuriho displayed at the museum, they will introduce past rocket technology, the history of global space science technology development, water rocket making and launching to wish for Nuriho's success, and the history of Korea's rocket technology and launch vehicle development. Pre-recorded messages from visitors wishing for success will show the public's hopes for Nuriho's successful launch. They will also visit places where you can directly see the Nuriho launch and convey the atmosphere on site through the broadcast. The launch scene will be filmed from a distance to share the moment of Nuriho's launch with viewers.

If you still want to see it in person, Namyeol Beach in Yeosu, Jeollanam-do, closest to the Naro Space Center, is considered a viewpoint. The recently opened Yeosu-Goheung connecting bridge is also a recommended spot. However, the launch observatory operated by Goheung County will be closed two hours before the scheduled launch time. You can visit and take photos before then.
