[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Nahum] Naver is planning to establish an investigative and deliberative body for workplace harassment.
According to the "Improvement Plan following the Special Labor Inspection Results by the Ministry of Employment and Labor" submitted by Naver to Lee Sujin, a member of the Environment and Labor Committee of the National Assembly from the Democratic Party of Korea, Naver is considering creating a workplace harassment deliberation body involving labor union and labor-management council employee representatives as well as external experts.
The plan also includes monitoring disadvantageous treatment semiannually for two years and assigning personnel responsible for supporting victims.
Additionally, it has been reported that Naver is strengthening education for organizational leaders, regularly updating the ethical management code, and considering the introduction of a "shutdown system" to prevent exceeding overtime work limits.
