Conan Technology, an artificial intelligence software specialist company (CEO Kim Young-seom), participated in the ‘2021 Korea Defense Support System Exhibition (DUPEX KOREA 2021)’ and demonstrated the ‘Military Intelligent Platform’ developed based on the AI object recognition software ‘D:Watcher’.

DUPEX KOREA is Asia’s largest defense exhibition attended by defense and security officials such as defense ministers, chiefs of staff, and defense acquisition program administration heads from various countries, as well as representatives from global companies. Military policy decision-makers and customers from each country can directly experience the products of participating companies, and it provides a networking venue for public and private experts.

At this event, Conan Technology demonstrated the ‘Military Intelligent Platform’ capable of identifying objects and people in video and detecting abnormal phenomena. It had previously gained attention at the ‘2021 Drone Bot & AI Conference’ in July with the Army Training Command’s ‘Military ImageNet’.

The ‘Military Intelligent Platform’ developed based on the AI object recognition software ‘D:Watcher’ can recognize not only friendly forces but also enemy weapon systems. The collected data undergoes AI convergence technology to be transformed into military technology that can be operationalized in a timely manner. In this process, Conan Technology’s high-performance AI technologies such as facial recognition, voice recognition, and signal recognition are applied. Conan Technology is a company that possesses advanced AI technology in both visual recognition (face, object, place) and voice recognition fields.

After this development process, the ‘Military Intelligent Platform’ functions as a military decision support system throughout the entire process from detection to strike, including enemy infiltration, loitering detection, terrorism/disaster and abnormality detection in key security areas, friend-or-foe identification, and movement detection. In the future, the scope of data collection will also be expanded to include enemy video, satellite, voice data, and maritime signals interfaces.
