Representative Proposal by Assemblyman Park Kyung-shin
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Park Kyung-shin, a member of the Gwangsan District Council of Gwangju Metropolitan City (Democratic Party, Sinheung-dong, Usan-dong, Wolgok 1·2-dong, Unnam-dong), who proposed the ordinance, saw the "Partial Amendment to the Ordinance on the Fostering and Support of Small and Medium Enterprises in Gwangsan District" pass the 2nd plenary session of the 268th extraordinary meeting on the 20th.
This ordinance was proposed to stipulate necessary matters for fostering and supporting small and medium enterprise cooperatives promoted for collaboration and joint projects among small and medium enterprises within Gwangsan District, aiming to improve the economic status of small and medium enterprises and revitalize the local economy.
The main amendments include ▲expanding the scope of the district mayor's small and medium enterprise fostering projects ▲expanding sales channels through small and medium enterprise cooperatives ▲supporting joint projects promoted by small and medium enterprise cooperatives ▲supporting shared land and facilities for small and medium enterprises and small and medium enterprise cooperatives.
Councilor Park said, “With this ordinance amendment, we expect to strengthen competitiveness through joint projects between small and medium enterprises and small business owners via small and medium enterprise cooperatives and greatly contribute to revitalizing the local economy,” adding, “I hope that Gwangsan District and small and medium enterprises will coexist and grow together so that the local economy, which has been struggling due to COVID-19, can develop further.”
