Udang Lee Hoe-Young Teacher Education and Culture Foundation Chairman Lee Jong-Chan Holds Art Donation Ceremony

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Jongno-gu (Mayor Kim Young-jong) held an art donation ceremony on the 20th with Lee Jong-chan, chairman of the Udang Lee Hoe-young Education and Culture Foundation, and arranged a gathering to express gratitude.

This donation ceremony was held as the Udang Memorial Hall, previously located in Singyo-dong, Jongno-gu, was rebuilt as the Seoul Lee Hoe-young Memorial Hall and relocated to Namsan Yejang Park. Chairman Lee Jong-chan of the Udang Education and Culture Foundation donated the art pieces he had collected over time to Jongno-gu.

Among the 31 donated artworks are Han Yong-un’s "Samusa (思無邪)" and Kim Ji-ha’s "Living for the Country."

Mayor Kim Young-jong expressed his gratitude, saying, “The donated artworks have become an opportunity for further development of culture and arts in Jongno. We will do our best to ensure that many residents can enjoy these beautiful works.”
