Lotte Construction announced on the 20th that it supported non-face-to-face environmental education for children at local children's centers and held a donation ceremony for educational boards at the Seoul Regional Headquarters of the Green Umbrella Children's Foundation.
On the 19th, Lotte Construction provided educational materials necessary for non-face-to-face environmental education to 51 children from five local children's centers in Seoul and donated 27 eco-friendly lecture tables certified with international quality standards to help children utilize them during their educational participation. The lecture, focused on climate change, was conducted by an environmental education specialist.
A representative from Lotte Construction stated, "This support was carried out to address the educational gaps for children and improve learning spaces amid ongoing difficulties in implementing educational programs at local children's centers due to COVID-19."
Meanwhile, since 2011, Lotte Construction has formed the 'Sharotte Volunteer Group' composed of its employees to carry out various social contribution activities such as environmental cleanup, facility improvement, and cultural volunteering for vulnerable groups in the local community. Since last year, they have conducted various non-face-to-face volunteer activities including a relay campaign to support flower farms, providing children's play kits, sponsoring Pink Boxes for female adolescents, supplying Samgyetang to vulnerable groups, sharing 60,000 briquettes in Seoul and Busan areas, participating in a newborn hat knitting campaign, and supporting the Love Hope Box through step donations.
