[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] On the 19th, Gyeongnam Province and the Presidential Committee on Balanced National Development held an on-site meeting titled 'On-site Meeting to Improve Local Youth Employment' at the Youth Job Friends Maru Hall in Seongsan-gu, Changwon City.


Under the theme 'Reading the Region and Embracing Youth (Cheongnyeon Ildam),' the meeting was attended by 25 people, including local youths active in various fields, Kim Sa-yeol, Chairman of the Presidential Committee on Balanced National Development, Park Jong-won, Vice Governor for Economy of Gyeongnam Province, and Park Seong-min, Youth Secretary.


The meeting was organized to recognize the concentration of job seekers in the metropolitan area as a factor hindering national development, to share Gyeongnam's youth policies, and to examine local youths' perceptions of employment.


During the meeting, presentations were given on Gyeongnam's youth policies by the Gyeongnam Youth Policy Promotion Team under the theme 'A Bigger Gyeongnam Where Youth Want to Live,' and on 'Youth Policies Connecting the Region and Youth' by the Youth Foundation.


Additionally, a free discussion was held with local youths participating in the Youth Policy Network, University Job Centers, and Youth Employment Projects to improve local youth employment.


Vice Governor for Economy Park Jong-won stated, "The role of youth is more important than anything else to achieve sustainable national balanced development led by local regions," adding, "We will strive to create future-oriented youth jobs and promote a corporate culture where youth want to work to build a bigger Gyeongnam where youth want to live."
