Gwangyang City Council Member Seo Young-bae Receives Local Legislative Service Award

Council Members Selected for Dedicated Service to Local Assembly Development and Community Progress

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Heo Seon-sik] On the 19th, the Gwangyang City Council in Jeonnam announced that Seo Young-bae, the chairman of the Operations Committee, received the ‘Local Legislative Service Award’ selected by the National Association of Chairpersons of City, County, and District Councils.

The Local Legislative Service Award is given to council members who have devoted themselves to the development of local councils and local communities.

Councilor Seo Young-bae, re-elected for the 7th and 8th terms, served as the chairman of the Operations Committee in the latter half of the 8th term. He took the lead in addressing local community issues more actively than anyone else and was recognized for his efforts in serving as a bridge between council members, facilitating smooth communication to faithfully perform the council’s fundamental roles.

Councilor Seo said, “It is a natural duty to strive to realize a council that communicates with citizens as a representative body of the people, and I am grateful to receive this honorable award.” He added, “Taking this award as an opportunity, I will continue to work harder and do my best in legislative activities during the remainder of my term.”
