A was tried on charges of threatening his wife with a weapon while intoxicated in April, saying, "You raised the children wrong," believing that the children usually disrespected him.

A was also accused of abusing his elementary school-aged daughter and two sons by hitting their heads on the day of the crime.

Judge Kim stated, "The mental pain felt by the victims is believed to have been very great, and the acts that harmed the children's physical and mental development are rightly condemned, but considering that the damage was minor and the defendant made efforts to restore the family, among other factors."
