Jinju City Conducts Mandatory Crime Prevention and Fire Safety Training for Apartment Complexes

Mayor Jo Gyu-il Urges Role in Creating Healthy and Pleasant Residential Environment in Apartment Complexes

Jinju City conducted the "2021 Mandatory Education for Crime Prevention, Fire Safety in Apartment Complexes, and Members of Resident Representative Meetings" on the 19th at the Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) Grand Auditorium.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Jinju City, Gyeongnam, held the ‘2021 Apartment Crime Prevention, Fire Safety, and Mandatory Education for Resident Representative Meeting Members’ on the 19th at the Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) Grand Auditorium.

On the morning of the day, LH Deputy Director Park Si-hyo provided education on ‘Apartment Fire Extinguishing, Combustion, and Fire Prevention’ as well as crime prevention and fire safety education, while Ryu Hyo-ju, instructor from the Korea Security Leaders Association, gave a lecture on ‘Prevention and Response to Robbery, Theft, and Other Crimes.’

In the afternoon, for the education of resident representative meeting members, LH Central Apartment Support Center invited expert instructor Kim Young-sang to deliver a meaningful lecture on the activation of apartment communities, focusing on ‘Operation and Ethics of Resident Representative Meetings.’

Mayor Jo Gyu-il, who attended the education, stated, “More than half of the citizens live in apartments, so the role of resident representative meeting members in ensuring residents’ safety and maintaining facilities is very important,” and urged, “Please work with responsibility and expertise to establish a healthy and pleasant apartment living environment.”

Meanwhile, the city plans to continuously conduct education with the LH Central Apartment Management Support Center to provide systematic and substantial training, aiming to prevent apartment disputes and enhance ethical awareness and professionalism among resident members, thereby improving the residential welfare of apartment residents.
