aT and Gwangju City Collaborate for 국민체감형 ESG Practice

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] On the 19th, Kim Chun-jin, President of the Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation (aT), met with Lee Yong-seop, Mayor of Gwangju Metropolitan City, and agreed to mutually cooperate in the Korea Green Food Day and other public ESG practice initiatives.

'Korea Green Food Day' is a nationwide dietary improvement campaign aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions generated throughout the entire food production-distribution-consumption process for the sake of all of us and future generations.

aT proposed practical measures to minimize greenhouse gas emissions from food by voluntarily designating 'Korea Green Food Day' at homes, restaurants, and cafeterias, including ▲production using 'low-carbon and eco-friendly certified agricultural products' that reduce carbon ▲meal composition with 'local food' that reduces carbon emissions during distribution ▲and reducing waste at the consumption stage through 'meals without leftovers.'
