[Naju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Naju City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Kang In-gyu) announced on the 19th that KEPCO KDN (President Kim Jang-hyun) donated quarantine supplies for COVID-19 vaccination and quarantine management.
The donated items, worth a total of 6.5 million KRW, included one refrigerator for storing COVID vaccines and 2,000 KF94 quarantine masks. The donation ceremony was held the day before at the Naju City Public Health Center.
The donation ceremony was attended by Mayor Kang In-gyu, KEPCO KDN President Kim Jang-hyun, Yoon Sang-sik, Director of Naju City Public Health Center, and other officials.
President Kim Jang-hyun of KEPCO KDN said, "The reason the vaccination completion rate can increase rapidly is thanks to the efforts and dedication of the medical staff of the Republic of Korea and Naju City," adding, "We will continue public institution-level social contribution activities to regain daily life from COVID-19."
It is known that prior to this donation ceremony, President Kim visited the screening clinic at the Naju City Public Health Center for a recent COVID test, listened to the difficulties of the medical staff, and decided to donate quarantine supplies, adding warmth to the event.
Mayor Kang In-gyu said, "There were difficulties in vaccine storage due to the nationwide acceleration of vaccination and the surge in supply, but through this refrigerator support, we have gained great strength in vaccine management and vaccination," and added, "I hope KEPCO KDN's heartwarming story will serve as an opportunity to further strengthen the foundation of coexistence and cooperation between the local community and public institutions."
