[Muan=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Oh Hwan-joo] Beautiful chrysanthemums are in full bloom at the Chrysanthemum Hill in Hoesan Baengnyeonji, Ilro-eup, Muan, Jeollanam-do, and the pink muhly and pampas grass in the reed field are exuding a strong autumn atmosphere.

According to Muan County on the 19th, to welcome autumn, a 7,000㎡ flower garden was created within Hoesan Baengnyeonji with chrysanthemums and various autumn flowers, providing a space for those exhausted by COVID-19 to rest.

Every summer, when the 100,000-pyeong lotus pond at Hoesan Baengnyeonji is covered with green lotus leaves and white lotus flowers creating a magnificent view, the Lotus Festival is held to welcome tourists visiting Muan.

Along with lotus flowers, visitors can enjoy a variety of flowers throughout the year: roses and marguerites in spring, zinnias and sanpachens in summer, chrysanthemums and pink muhly in autumn, and pansies and flowering cabbages in winter, offering seasonal attractions year-round.

Additionally, family tourists can enjoy well-equipped facilities and attractions such as an auto camping site, outdoor water playground, animal farm, and children's playground.

In particular, the floating glass greenhouse rest area offering a panoramic view of Baengnyeonji and the atmospheric Baengnyeon Cafe have become popular spots attracting many tourists in the COVID era.

County Governor Kim San said, “This autumn, we hope you experience the tranquil scenery of the vast Baengnyeonji and the unique autumn atmosphere filled with the scent of chrysanthemums at Hoesan Baengnyeonji. We will further expand attractions and convenience facilities to make Hoesan Baengnyeonji a place where tourists nationwide can visit and rest.”
