[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] Hana Bank will launch the ‘Hana Bank Million Dollar Card,’ which allows dollar payments overseas without fees, on the 20th of this month through a business partnership with Lotte Card.
The ‘Million Dollar Card’ features a multi-payment method that links both KRW and foreign currency payment accounts to a single card. It can be used as a regular credit card domestically, while overseas payments are directly withdrawn and paid in dollars held by the customer regardless of exchange rate fluctuations.
In addition, all overseas usage fees such as international brand fees and overseas ATM withdrawal fees are fully waived unconditionally, and cashback on overseas merchant payments and discounts at domestic merchants are additionally provided based on the previous month’s card usage performance.
A representative from Hana Bank’s Foreign Exchange Business Division stated, “We have launched a card reflecting global lifestyle demands such as overseas direct purchases through customer-centered product development,” and added, “We will continue efforts to enhance customer convenience, such as applying a direct payment method using held foreign currency along with various fee benefits.”
