[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Golden Blue employees announced on the 19th that they have launched a blood donation campaign.


As the number of blood donors has decreased due to COVID-19, causing an imbalance in blood supply and demand to emerge as a social issue, Golden Blue is actively working to resolve the nationwide blood shortage. Following the first employee blood donation campaign held in April, in the second half of this year, a blood donation bus was stationed in front of the Centum Science Park building in Haeundae-gu, where the Busan Centum office is located, allowing employees to voluntarily participate.


Golden Blue plans to donate the blood donation certificates collected through two blood donation campaigns this year to patients in need of blood supply at the end of the year to support their treatment.


Kim Dongwook, CEO of Golden Blue, said, “As the company grows, I believe it is important to have time to reflect on and share the valuable meaning of giving together with employees. We have carried out various contribution activities to create a better Korean society so far, and we will continue to expand the scale of social contribution activities along with the company’s development to grow into a good company that fulfills its social responsibilities.”


Over the past 10 years, Golden Blue Co., Ltd. has carried out various social contribution activities, including blood donation campaigns. Under the sharing management philosophy emphasized by Chairman Park Yongsu, “Profits gained from society are returned to society,” the company declared the social contribution slogan “A Happy Future Grown and Created Together” in 2016 and has been strengthening its social contribution activities since then.
