Won Hee-ryong: "Lee Jae-myung seems like witnessing the rise of Nazis... Genius at dividing people"

"After Gaining Power Riding Nazi Popularity, They Do According to Their Own Plan"
Watching Lee Jae-myung at the National Audit, "My Heart Breaks"... Must Fire a Storm of Questions

[Asia Economy Reporter Naju-seok] On the 19th, Won Hee-ryong, a presidential candidate from the People Power Party and former governor of Jeju Province, compared Lee Jae-myung, the presidential candidate of the Democratic Party of Korea, to the "German National Socialism," commonly known as the "Nazi."

On that day, Won appeared on TBS Radio's "Kim Eo-jun's News Factory" and, while evaluating candidate Lee, said, "He is not an enlightened monarch, but almost like the SS (Nazi Schutzstaffel), the emergence of National Socialism," adding, "(The Nazis) also gained power by riding on the popularity of the people. Once in power, they followed their own plan."

When the host pointed out that mentioning the Nazis might have gone too far, Won firmly responded, "No, that's the feeling."

Regarding Lee's strengths, Won said, "He has a very strong will to survive and hold power and is smart," adding, "Among the current political contenders, he seems to be the smartest." As for his weaknesses, he said, "He tries to annihilate those who are not on his side and is too cruel."

He also commented on the previous day's National Assembly audit, saying, "As a politician, you have to attract attention and make everything revolve around yourself, causing people to take sides and become a topic of conversation," and evaluated, "He is a genius at creating such political and issue dynamics."

Won also criticized the National Assembly's Public Administration and Security Committee's audit of the Gyeonggi Provincial Government held the day before. He said, "(Watching the audit) was heartbreaking," and questioned, "Why didn't the People Power Party lawmakers ask questions? They should have asked at least 10 questions in 7 minutes. Questions that would make the candidate's pupils shake."

He continued, "Yesterday, many people were just nitpicking and lecturing," and evaluated, "That doesn't score points."

He said, "If there had been 7 to 8 People Power Party lawmakers yesterday, and each asked just 10 questions, there would have been 80 questions," adding, "No matter how genius someone is, if they want to lie, the pieces have to fit together, but if you ask again two days later and attack outside the venue, gaps are created and it collapses." He emphasized that they should have exploited inconsistencies found in the barrage of questions, but such efforts were completely absent.
