Bang & Olufsen's OLED TV 'Beovision Contour'

[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Bang&Olufsen announced on the 19th that it will officially launch the minimalist organic light-emitting diode (OLED) TV, ‘BeoVision Contour,’ which allows users to enjoy high-definition display and high-quality sound simultaneously without spatial constraints, in South Korea.

BeoVision Contour is an all-in-one OLED TV equipped with a 4K OLED display and Bang&Olufsen’s proprietary speaker solution. It offers high image quality and immersive sound in a medium-sized form factor, making it suitable not only as a living room TV but also as a second TV or gaming TV.

Designed by Tolson Velour, the new product features a precisely crafted aluminum frame that wraps around the edges, emphasizing the timeless value of craftsmanship. It is available in three colors: Silver, Black Anthracite, and Gold Tone. It offers three installation options?a floor stand that can rotate 180 degrees left and right, a table stand, and a wall bracket?allowing placement to suit the user’s interior environment.

BeoVision Contour incorporates the speaker configuration of the soundbar ‘BeoSound Stage.’ It delivers up to 550W of sound through a 3-channel sound center. It is equipped with a total of 11 speaker drivers, including four 4-inch woofer driver units, four 1½-inch full-range driver units, and three ¾-inch tweeters. The bass performance is enhanced by four custom woofers that cover a low range down to 30 Hertz (Hz). Dolby Atmos technology further enhances the immersive sound effects.

The TV is equipped with an OLED panel from LG Display and features the latest video technologies such as the AI processor Alpha9 3rd generation, which analyzes the screen to provide optimal video and audio, HDMI 2.1, and Dolby Vision IQ.

When not used as a TV, it can function as a standalone speaker. Wireless connections are supported via Apple AirPlay 2, Chromecast, Bluetooth, and streaming services such as Deezer and Tune-In can be used.

The price is 11.9 million KRW for the 55-inch model and 10.2 million KRW for the 48-inch model, based on the wood cover.
