[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] North Korea's external propaganda media recently urged South Korea to first break away from the "hostile view towards the North" regarding its continued mention of the issue of a declaration of the end of the war.

The external propaganda media "Tongil-ui Meori" on the 19th published an article under the name of Hyun Cheol, director of the Institute for National Reunification under the United Front Department of the Workers' Party, stating, "The issue of the declaration of the end of the war does not consider the order of precedence."

Director Hyun said, "South Korea keeps bringing up the issue of the declaration of the end of the war," and pointed out, "Even if the declaration of the end of the war is made while leaving the confrontation unresolved, the cycle of confrontation will fall into a vicious circle before the ink on the declaration dries."

He emphasized, "If someone ignores the foundation of an apartment and says they will start building from the 10th floor, what kind of reaction would arise is something we all know without asking," and added, "It is only natural to first break away from the predatory double standards and the anti-Republic hostile views and policies before the declaration of the end of the war."
