[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Nahum] Samsung SDS announced on the 19th that it has launched the IT-based import-export logistics service 'Cello Square.' This service allows domestic small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and mid-sized companies aiming to enter overseas markets to handle the entire logistics process from quotation to settlement by themselves.

Until now, small and mid-sized export companies have faced many difficulties in logistics operations when exporting products due to complicated import-export procedures, delays in quotations from logistics carriers, and difficulties in tracking the location of cargo in transit.

‘Cello Square 4.0,’ developed by Samsung SDS applying new IT technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and IoT, is an upgraded version of the existing integrated logistics platform ‘Cello.’ Export companies can access Cello Square to check and easily book shipping freight quotes for sea FCL (Full Container Load)1, LCL (Less than Container Load)2, and air transport according to the characteristics of the cargo and logistics conditions. Additionally, express, air, and sea services for Amazon fulfillment service sellers delivering products sold on the US e-commerce company Amazon are also available.

Once transportation begins, export companies can check the real-time location information of their cargo through the Cello Square tracking service, and in emergencies, they can respond quickly through one-on-one consultations with operators. After transportation is completed, they can easily verify the settlement details compared to the quotation and contract, and receive customized analysis reports to learn about future logistics cost reduction and efficiency improvement measures.

Specialized services such as transportation control services that monitor the delivery status of products sensitive to temperature, humidity, and shock or high-value goods in real time, and optimal delivery space recommendation services that analyze cargo size and quantity using AI are also provided.

Furthermore, export companies using the 'PLAYAUTO GLOBAL' system, which manages overseas marketplace delivery orders such as Amazon and eBay, can use various import-export logistics services together on Cello Square, where order data is linked, including integrated order confirmation and invoice printing.

Oh Gu-il, head of Samsung SDS’s logistics business division, said, "Cello Square 4.0 improves customer usability and expands the service range from express delivery to air and sea international transport services. We plan to support export companies’ entry into overseas markets and expand the digital forwarding business that maximizes IT technology strengths."
