'Ddokdak' September Usage Count Up 53%
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Vibros (CEO Song Yong-beom), the operator of 'Ttokdak,' announced on the 19th that the number of uses of the mobile medical appointment and reception service increased by 53% as flu vaccination became full-scale.
According to Ttokdak, the number of uses of the mobile medical appointment and reception service in September, when flu vaccination became full-scale with the start of the 'Influenza National Immunization Program,' increased by 53% compared to the previous month. During the same period, the total number of patients at more than 13,000 hospitals registered with Ttokdak increased by 24%.
Search volume related to the flu also increased. In September, the number of searches for 'flu' on Ttokdak increased 14 times compared to August, and the number of searches for 'flu vaccination' increased 9 times. Vibros analyzed that many people tried to prevent the flu, which has symptoms similar to COVID-19, and especially in the recent situation where hospitals are crowded due to COVID-19 vaccinations, they used the mobile medical appointment and reception service to complete flu vaccinations more conveniently and safely.
By using the mobile medical appointment service, patients can check available dates and times for medical treatment without having to call the hospital. Also, by using the mobile reception service to check their waiting order and then visiting the hospital at the time of treatment, patients do not need to wait with other patients, thus avoiding the risk of possible secondary infections. Hospitals can also reduce the time spent on appointment and reception tasks.
Song Yong-beom, CEO of Vibros, said, "Due to COVID-19, hospital workloads have increased, and with the start of the flu vaccination season, hospitals face even more work, and many flu vaccine recipients have to endure long waiting times. In the With-Corona era, we will continue to advance our services so that both hospitals and patients can complete medical treatment conveniently and safely."
