Support for Exhibition Booths, Promotional Catalogs, Interpreters, Guides, and Supplies; 1:1 Business Purchase Consultations to Expand Domestic Market and Develop Overseas Export Channels
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Yeongdeungpo-gu (District Mayor Chae Hyun-il) will support market expansion by setting up booths for 10 machinery and metal manufacturing companies from Mullae-dong at the ‘2021 Metal Industry Expo’ held at KINTEX in Ilsan from October 27 to 29.
The ‘2021 Metal Industry Expo’ is an international industrial exhibition covering all industries related to machinery and metals. It introduces efficiency improvements in manufacturing processes using new materials and parts, trends in metal processing technology, and hosts seminars by experts in each field, making it a leading exhibition for the development of the metal industry.
In April, the district publicly recruited companies to participate in the Metal Industry Expo and selected 10 companies with high growth potential as representative brands symbolizing the region, distinguished by the originality of their ideas and excellence of their products.
In July, the district provided guidance on the online platform and ordering system to be promoted at the exhibition, as well as support projects for market development of excellent companies to revitalize the local economy. They also discussed various matters for successful exhibition participation, including booth and location selection, infographics, and catalog production.
The companies and products confirmed for the exhibition include ▲ International Metal Trading Co. sensors and various piping devices ▲ Dream Industry camping fire pits ▲ Myeongshin Gear Printing machines, coating machines, gearboxes ▲ Bonghwa Industry quarantine-related mold products ▲ Booyoung Metal steel metals ▲ SSSports 3-section trekking poles and canes ▲ Youngshin Precision Industry can seamers ▲ Tongil Comprehensive A/S Center grinding human touch ▲ Hyunseong Tool Tech lathes, milling, cutting tools, and ▲ Seoul Small Business Association, showcasing Mullae-dong’s excellent machinery and metal infrastructure.
The district will fully support the participation fees for the Metal Industry Expo for the participating companies and set up a designated Yeongdeungpo-gu booth in Hall 2 of Exhibition Center 1 at KINTEX. They will also provide interpreters and guides to facilitate smooth communication with overseas buyers as well as 1:1 business purchase consultations.
The district has been striving to revitalize the metal industry and expand the domestic market through modernization of machinery and metal facilities in Mullae-dong, strengthening product competitiveness, and promotion and marketing efforts such as ‘Yeongdeungpo Idea Funding’ and ‘Improvement of Working Environment in Machinery and Metal Cluster.’
Chae Hyun-il, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo-gu, said, “We hope that exhibiting at this metal industry expo will serve as an opportunity to internationally recognize the excellence and development potential of Mullae-dong’s machinery and metal industry.” He added, “We will continue to support the small business owners in Mullae-dong, who have been going through difficult times due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic and economic downturn, so that they can regain strength and play a leading role as a driving force in the local industry.”
