Gyeonggi-do Announces Public Recruitment for Consignment Operators to Promote Human Rights in Sports Sector

[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi Province is publicly recruiting consignment contractors by the 25th to carry out human rights promotion projects in the sports sector within the province, including sports human rights education and publicity.

This recruitment is broadly divided into Gyeonggi Province sports human rights education and sports human rights publicity.

If selected as a sports human rights education contractor, the organization will conduct education on violence including sexual violence, corruption education such as embezzlement, breach of trust, match-fixing, and admission scandals, as well as other necessary education designated by Gyeonggi Province, targeting athletes and coaches across the 31 cities and counties in the province.

The sports human rights publicity contractor will promote Gyeonggi Province sports human rights education guidance, related regulations, policies, and events through the provincial government website, social networking services (SNS), and the media using videos, banners (internet homepage advertisements), and promotional materials (leaflets).

Until last year, the project was consigned to the Gyeonggi Women's Family Foundation, but from this year, it is being carried out by a specialized sports human rights institution.

Any corporation or organization with expertise in sports human rights or the capability to carry out human rights promotion projects in the sports sector can apply.

Applicants wishing to participate can download the application form from the notices and announcements section on the Gyeonggi Province website and submit it directly to the Sports Division of the Gyeonggi Provincial Government by the 25th.

The selected consignment contractor will carry out the "2021 Gyeonggi Province Sports Sector Human Rights Promotion Project" from November to December.

As human rights in the sports sector are becoming an increasingly important social issue, the province plans to expand the human rights promotion project next year by adding reporting and counseling services.

A provincial official stated, "Human rights in the sports sector is currently an important social issue," and added, "We hope that through Gyeonggi Province's sports human rights promotion project, the sports culture in Gyeonggi Province will develop and mature further."
