[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] Changwon City, Gyeongnam Province, announced on the 18th that it will promote the 'Gift of Love House' support project, a talent donation program for housing-vulnerable groups, to provide a warm year-end for neighbors in need.

'Gift of Love House' is a housing welfare project implemented since last year, which renovates old houses or installs convenience facilities for housing-vulnerable groups such as low-income families and grandparent-headed households through talent donations from local construction companies and contractors currently working in the area.

The city recruited eight companies wishing to participate, received recommendations for neighbors in need through the heads of each eup, myeon, and dong, and selected 16 households to support after on-site inspections and interviews with the candidates.

By the end of the year, participating companies plan to renovate old houses by improving energy efficiency and facilities through customized repair work needed in each household, such as wallpaper and flooring replacement, roof improvement and waterproofing, and interior finishing replacement.

Mayor Heo Seong-mu said, "Through the voluntary talent donation participation of local construction companies, we will create a warmer and happier society and expand the project so that neighbors in need can live in better housing environments."
