[Sejong=Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] Lee Seonghee, Chairman of the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation (NACF), stated on the 18th regarding this year's rice harvest measures, "NACF will purchase the entire quantity of rice that farmers wish to ship."
Chairman Lee made these remarks during a visit to the rice harvest site within the jurisdiction of the integrated rice processing center (RPC) in Manse and Boryeong, Chungnam.
He emphasized, "This year, the expected rice production is anticipated to exceed demand, leading to an oversupply. If necessary, we will consider additional purchase fund support for regional cooperatives and closely cooperate with the government to stabilize the market during the harvest season."
