[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Yongsan-gu (Mayor Seongjang Hyun) is installing and operating promotional materials for the district at the front plaza of Yongsan Station (area around 421 Hangangno 2-ga).

This is part of a project to promote 'Yongsan (YONGSAN)' at major landmarks in the district.

The promotional material is a metal sculpture measuring 10m wide and 1.8m high, expressing the district name 'YONGSAN' in capital letters, designed to be clearly visible from a distance.

Additionally, exterior landscape lighting (LED) has been installed around the promotional material to enhance visibility at night, and sound equipment inside broadcasts music and can also transmit district promotional messages when needed.

Seongjang Hyun, Mayor of Yongsan-gu, said, “We installed promotional materials representing our district at Yongsan Station, the starting and ending point of all railways in Korea and, in the future, the departure point of the Eurasian continental transcontinental train if inter-Korean unification occurs. We expect it to leave a strong impression of Yongsan-gu on both domestic and international visitors to Yongsan Station and to be actively used as a symbolic photo spot representing Yongsan.”
