[Imsil=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Nosik] Jeonbuk Imsil-gun (Governor Sim Min) announced on the 18th that it will begin construction on the 20th to build a new outdoor restroom in Yangji Village, Cheongung-myeon, to provide residents with a pleasant and safe living environment.
The existing restroom had frequent internal facility damage due to aging, and the purification method involved manure treatment, causing unpleasant odors in the summer, which inconvenienced users. To resolve these issues, a new restroom will be constructed.
The new restroom will have a building area of 15㎡, with separate facilities for men and women, and the interior will be modernized according to residents' requests.
The exterior walls will be finished with brick, and the generated manure and wastewater will be connected to the Gugoma Village sewage treatment plant for processing to minimize odor and user inconvenience.
Additionally, since the new restroom location is adjacent to Yangji Village Hall and Mojeong, which are communal living spaces for residents, expanding convenience facilities in this area used for rest and harmony is expected to improve satisfaction among residents and users.
Governor Sim Min stated, “We will complete the restroom construction by the end of the year to minimize inconvenience for users,” and added, “We will continue to do our best to enhance residents' welfare and create a pleasant environment.”
