Jae-yoon Ma, Head of Jeonnam Fire Headquarters, Inspects COVID-19 Prevention Measures at Medical Institutions

According to the Jeonnam Fire Headquarters, Chief Ma met with Hospital Director Shin Myeonggeun and related personnel to review quarantine activities and fire vulnerability factors within the hospital, urging safety precautions and encouraging the medical staff's hard work.

Hwasun Jeonnam National University Hospital is a specialized hospital serving as a ‘specialized medical center’ in the province, playing an important role in treating confirmed COVID-19 patients and severe emergency patients.

Chief Ma emphasized thorough quarantine management implementation due to the frequent occurrence of confirmed cases in medical institutions in the metropolitan area and other regions recently, and also conveyed difficulties faced by the 119 ambulance teams in hospital selection during COVID-19 patient transfers, requesting active cooperation.

Meanwhile, Jeonnam Fire has so far transported 13,285 suspected COVID-19 patients by ambulance and is actively responding by supporting firefighting forces at 23 vaccination centers in the province.
