[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Shin Dong-ho] Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (District Mayor Seo Dae-seok) will invite a total of three ecological fairy tale authors to hold lectures for a month at the Children's Ecological Learning Library.
According to Seo-gu on the 18th, this lecture event was prepared to provide local residents with an opportunity to enjoy reading and feel ecological sensitivity by reading picture books and engaging in various activities through meetings with ecological fairy tale authors.
The schedule of the author lectures is arranged to start with a meeting with Jeon Min-geol, author of "Crispy Seagull," on the 18th of next month, followed by a meeting with Choi Won-hyung, author of "If You Eat Ramen, the Forest Disappears," on the 21st, and a meeting with Moon Myeong-ye, author of "Flower Fortune," on the 27th.
This lecture series will be conducted both in-person and online, with in-person lectures held in the multipurpose room on the 2nd floor of the Children's Ecological Learning Library.
During the meeting with author Jeon Min-geol, participants will read "Crispy Seagull," discuss the picture book creation process, and engage in an activity to create their own protagonist.
During the meeting with author Choi Won-hyung, participants will learn why the forest disappears when eating ramen and what we can do to prevent the forest from disappearing.
Also, during the meeting with author Moon Myeong-ye, participants will read "Flower Fortune" and engage in flower fortune play and flower fan making activities using flowers and plants.
Applications for participation are being accepted on a first-come, first-served basis through the Seo-gu Integrated Library website.
A library official said, "We hope this will be a precious time to feel the joy of reading through meetings with ecological authors," and added, "We will continue to strive to provide various ecological specialized services."
