[Asia Economy Reporter Minji Lee] IBK Investment & Securities announced on the 18th that it has launched a brokerage-type Individual Savings Account (ISA) and will hold an event until December 17.
The brokerage-type ISA is an account that allows customers to directly invest in various financial products such as domestically listed stocks, funds, ETFs, and ELS with a single account while enjoying tax benefits. Anyone aged 19 or older can open an account, and if managed for more than 3 years, they can receive tax benefits such as tax exemption and separate taxation on the investment income generated within the account.
IBK Investment & Securities offers various benefits to customers who open a brokerage-type ISA account, including one stock per trading amount, investment support funds, and a lifetime 200% preferential limit on IPO public offering shares.
During the event period, among customers who open a brokerage-type ISA and trade at least 1 KRW, 1,000 will be selected by lottery to receive one ETF share, and the first 1,000 customers will be provided with free access to real-time US market quotes for 3 months. Additionally, customers who trade more than 1 million KRW will receive a lifetime 200% preferential limit when subscribing to IPO public offering shares, and through a lottery, investment support funds of 1 million KRW (1 person), 500,000 KRW (1 person), and 100,000 KRW (5 people) will be given to 7 people.
The event can be applied for at IBK Investment & Securities branches, MTS, HTS, and the website, and candidates will be selected by combining the trading amounts of stocks and funds after opening a brokerage-type ISA. An IBK Investment & Securities official said, “We have launched the brokerage-type ISA account to provide tax benefits for customers who prefer direct investment. We hope customers who need financial planning such as preparing a lump sum or managing retirement funds, and who want to prepare for the capital gains tax on stocks introduced from 2023, will open a brokerage-type ISA and receive various prize benefits.”
