Hana Bank Signs MOU with Hyundai·Kia Motors & Finda for 'Connected Car-Based Financial Products'

[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] Hana Bank announced on the 18th that it has signed a business agreement with Hyundai·Kia Motors and loan comparison platform Finda to develop financial products based on connected cars.

A ‘connected car’ is a service that combines information and communication technology with automobiles. Hyundai·Kia Motors provides a smart mobility life, including remote vehicle control, through its representative connected car services such as ‘Blue Link,’ ‘Kia Connected,’ and ‘Genesis Connected Service,’ and is promoting new businesses utilizing the collected information.

Through this agreement, Hana Bank, Hyundai·Kia Motors, and Finda will jointly promote ▲development of financial products for ‘connected car’ customers ▲discovery of new businesses using big data, and plan to expand the scope of cooperation to introduce new services in the financial market in the future.

Kim Sojung, Vice President of Hana Bank’s Digital Retail Group, said, “Through this business agreement, we were able to understand the future mobility industry beyond simple means of transportation,” and added, “We will continue efforts to enhance customer convenience by developing a lifestyle financial platform where banks, automobiles, and fintech coexist, which have become part of daily life.”
