HDC Hyundai Development Company secured the redevelopment project for the Sanggye 1 Redevelopment Promotion Zone in Sanggye-dong, Nowon-gu, Seoul, recording a contract performance of 1.2768 trillion KRW in the reconstruction and redevelopment sector in 2021, joining the '1 trillion KRW club' in urban maintenance project contracts this year.
According to industry sources on the 18th, HDC Hyundai Development Company, the sole bidder for the Sanggye 1 Redevelopment Promotion Zone housing redevelopment project under a private contract, was selected as the construction company for the Sanggye 1 District housing redevelopment maintenance project at the contractor selection general meeting held on the 16th. Among 715 total union members, 522 attended, and HDC Hyundai Development Company won 78% of the votes from attending members. The project is worth 293 billion KRW and involves constructing 1,388 apartment units in 17 buildings ranging from 5 basement floors to 25 above-ground floors.
An HDC Hyundai Development Company official stated, "The Sanggye 1 Redevelopment Promotion Zone is a redevelopment site located in Nowon-gu, Seoul, with favorable transportation and residential infrastructure conditions," adding, "Especially, once the projects in other adjacent Sanggye New Town districts are completed, a large-scale apartment complex will be formed, further improving residential conditions."
Meanwhile, this year, HDC Hyundai Development Company has secured contracts not only for the Sanggye 1 Redevelopment Promotion Zone redevelopment project but also for the Daegu Beomeo Magnolia reconstruction, Uiwang Bugok Multiple District reconstruction maintenance project, Incheon Galsan 1 District redevelopment, Ulsan Nam-gu B-07 District redevelopment, and Seoul Mia 4 District reconstruction project, winning orders in Seoul, the metropolitan area, and regional hub cities.
