[Sejong=Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Strategy and Finance Hong Nam-ki stated on the 18th regarding the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP), "Domestically, we have promoted related institutional improvements, and externally, we have conducted informal consultations with member countries."

On the same day, Deputy Prime Minister Hong held the first External Economic Security Strategy Meeting at the Seoul Government Complex and said, "We plan to comprehensively coordinate the economic and strategic value of joining the CPTPP, concerns such as damage to sensitive sectors, and future responses and promotion schedules."
