On the 17th, Lee posted on Facebook, "I will appear as a witness at the Gyeonggi-do National Assembly audit tomorrow," adding, "I will responsibly participate in the last audit as the Governor of Gyeonggi-do."

He said, "Some people worry that I might be humiliated by opposition party lawmakers. However, there is no need to worry too much," and added, "As the person responsible for Gyeonggi-do administration, I will show a humble and confident attitude."

He continued, "Even if there is political attack, I will respond with dignity without being swayed."

Lee emphasized, "The outcome will be different from the intentions of the People Power Party," and added, "Rather, it will be a good opportunity to show the public my capability in achieving public interest recovery by overcoming persistent opposition from the central government and the National Assembly in the Daejang-dong development project."

He said, "During the past 3 years and 3 months of my governorship, there have been many 'small but important changes that led to great achievements' in Gyeonggi-do administration," and expressed concern that "many administrative achievements might be overshadowed by political strife and not receive due recognition."

He added, "The support for the administration created by 13.8 million residents is my greatest pride," and said, "Policies that started in Seongnam have become those of Gyeonggi-do, and Gyeonggi-do’s livelihood policies are spreading nationwide."

He concluded, "Although there will be many difficulties, I will do my best to prevent the audit from becoming a political battle," and promised, "I will make it an audit that raises the pride of Gyeonggi-do residents and public officials."
