"Husband Was Healthier Than Anyone Else"

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyun-joo] A national petition has been posted requesting an investigation into the causal relationship after a man in his 30s, who received the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine, died just one day after vaccination.
On the 17th, a petition titled "Please clarify the sudden death after receiving the Moderna vaccine" was posted on the Blue House national petition board.
The petitioner, who identified herself as the deceased’s wife, began by saying, "My husband, whom I firmly believed to be the father of our two children and my lifelong partner, passed away at a hospital on the 16th."
She explained, "(My husband) received his second dose of the Moderna vaccine around 2 p.m. on the 15th at a hospital in Gunsan, Jeonbuk," adding, "My husband, who works as a 25-ton dump truck driver to protect our precious family, went to work the day after vaccination, but a few hours later, I received a call saying he was undergoing cardiopulmonary resuscitation."
She continued, "A colleague noticed that (my husband’s) complexion looked bad around lunchtime and advised him to go to the hospital, but after lunchtime, when the dump truck he was driving did not move, they opened the door and found him unconscious," she said.
The petitioner lamented, "We went to the hospital, but he had already been declared dead," adding, "He was found in cardiac arrest, and it took about 40 minutes to get to the hospital, but despite CPR, there was no response."
She added, "My husband never drank or smoked, and his hospital visits were so few they could be counted on one hand," emphasizing, "He had no underlying conditions and was healthier than anyone else."
The petitioner expressed her grief, saying, "Our children keep asking, ‘Where is Dad now? Why isn’t he coming?’ and I am at a loss for how to explain," and "My husband’s sudden death still feels like a dream. I hope it is just a dream."
The Jeonbuk provincial health authorities have decided to conduct an autopsy on the deceased (34) to determine whether there is any connection between the vaccine and the death. A health official stated, "Along with the autopsy, epidemiologists plan to collect medical records from the hospital and conduct an investigation," adding, "We will disclose the final results once they are available."
