[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Daejeon City announced on the 17th that it will showcase the region's representative foods, 'Kalguksu' and 'Silbi Kimchi,' through Naver Shopping Live from 5 PM to 6 PM on the 19th.
The products sold during the event include clam kalguksu from 'Mirror UFND' and spicy kimchi from 'Seonhwa-dong Spicy Silbi Kimchi,' which can be purchased at discounts of up to 48% during the broadcast.
Notably, the shopping live broadcast will feature popular mukbang YouTuber Matsangmu, who has 600,000 subscribers, and show host Lee Kyung-rim, introducing Daejeon's representative foods.
They will also eat the food live, addressing viewers' questions in real time and providing enjoyment to the audience.
All products sold during the live broadcast will be shipped free of charge, and various benefits such as discount coupons, quizzes, and surprise events will be held.
Ko Hyun-duk, Director of the City’s Job and Economy Bureau, said, “We hope local small and medium-sized enterprises overcome the difficulties of domestic demand recession through live commerce and find new sales channels.” He added, “The city will support live commerce broadcast sales until the end of this year to help increase sales for SMEs.”
